Naar mensen toe is hij ontzettend vriendelijk, heel lief en erg aanhankelijk. Ook met (kleine) kinderen kan hij goed overweg. In huis is Almur rustig, als de deurbel gaat slaat hij even aan. Katten jaagt hij graag de tuin uit, het is niet bekend hoe hij met andere huisdieren is. Almur is graag bij je en zal, zeker in het begin, steeds achter je aan lopen in huis als je iets gaat doen. Ondanks dat kan hij best een paar uur alleen thuis zijn, mits goed voorbereid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Buiten aan de riem loopt Almur goed mee, hij trekt niet. Hij schrikt niet van verkeer, als hij iets ziet wat hij niet kent en waar hij onzeker over is gaat hij daar met een boog omheen. Hij gaat, ook los, niet achter auto\u2019s, fietsers of hardlopers aan. Op paarden reageert hij eveneens niet. In het bos kan hij wel achter konijnen aan gaan en grotere vogels mogen van hem ook weg. Als er op een wandelroute water is, dan gaat Almur daar graag in om pootje te baden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Almur gaat niet vanzelfsprekend goed met andere honden om en dat is ook de reden dat hij nu een nieuw thuis zoekt: het klikt niet meer zo goed als voorheen tussen hem en zijn IJslandse huisgenoot (eveneens een reu). Naar honden die hij niet kent, is Almur heel afwachtend en gespannen, een eigenaar moet hem daar goed in begeleiden. Voor Almur zijn we op zoek naar mensen die ervaring hebben met honden en sturing kunnen geven. Almur is heel lief en aanhankelijk, maar zal zeker de grenzen opzoeken bij een nieuwe baas. We zoeken zelfverzekerde mensen die de onzekere Almur kunnen steunen en begeleiden in het contact met andere honden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We plaatsen hem niet bij een andere reu en het liefst ergens waar hij enige hond zal zijn. Als je zijn vertrouwen kunt winnen, heb je een geweldig maatje voor het leven.
