De vereniging richt zich op liefhebbers en fokkers van IJslandse Honden en deze site is bedoeld voor iedereen die zich verbonden voelt met IJslandse honden. Op 4 maart 1999 werd onze vereniging door de Raad van Beheer op Kynologisch gebied in Nederland erkend. In 2016 ontvingen we van de Raad een gedenkteken voor het 25-jarige bestaan van de vereniging. 2021 belooft opnieuw een feestelijk jaar te worden omdat we dan ons 30-jarig bestaan vieren! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Onderstaande foto&#8217;s zijn voornamelijk afkomstig uit &#8216;de oude doos&#8217;. Op veel ervan staat Ans Beer, de vrouw die de IJslandse hond in Nederland op de kaart heeft gezet. Er lopen in Nederland nog steeds veel IJslandse honden rond die uit de lijnen van haar kennel, &#8216;fr\u00e1 Thyturstadir&#8217;, afkomstig zijn. Ans is op latere leeftijd begonnen met fokken en heeft dat tot op hoge leeftijd kunnen doen &#8211; ze heeft zelf ook erg oud mogen worden, ze overleed op 103-jarige leeftijd. Ans Beer was bij leven al erelid van onze vereniging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div <a href=\"https:\/\/verenigingijslandsehond.nl\/?page_id=52\">gezondheid<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/verenigingijslandsehond.nl\/?page_id=54\">gedrag<\/a> en <a href=\"https:\/\/verenigingijslandsehond.nl\/?page_id=46\">uiterlijk <\/a>(met speciale aandacht voor de verschillende mogelijke <a href=\"https:\/\/verenigingijslandsehond.nl\/?page_id=50\">vachtkleuren<\/a>). Daarnaast organiseren wij ons jaarlijkse evenement de &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/verenigingijslandsehond.nl\/?page_id=80\">Clubmatch<\/a>&#8216; en verzorgen wij tal van activiteiten, waaronder vaste activiteiten zoals de <a href=\"https:\/\/verenigingijslandsehond.nl\/?page_id=78\">Dag van de IJslandse Hond<\/a>, 3x per jaar een <a href=\"https:\/\/verenigingijslandsehond.nl\/?page_id=72\">wandeling, lezingen en workshops<\/a>. Voor fokkers houden wij eenmaal per jaar een fokkersoverleg en ook eenmaal per jaar organiseren we onze algemene ledenvergadering.
